FourthFun

Now that the weekend is coming to an end, I just wanted to do a little recap of my fourth festivities!  My boyfriends family had a beach house on Long Boat Key, where I live in Florida.  On the Fourth of July I managed to miss all of the traffic and chaos and had a nice relaxing beach and pool day with my best friend.  Here are some pictures from the day, all taken with my lovely GoPro of course because it is the best way to take pictures!
I hope everyone had a relaxing and fun day, the holiday is 100% about our freedom and independence  so spending it with your friends and family is the best and only way to spend it!

TrianglSwim

After a year of lusting after Triangl Swimwear from Australia, I finally made the jump and clicked submit on my order!  Buying a swim suit online is the most complicated thing to me, I mean have you ever thought a bathing suit was going to look good and tried it on and realized it was the worst idea ever...Well my sentiments exactly.  I ended up buying the indy, because it had the ties on the sides of the bottoms and I figured if it was a little small or large I could just use the ties to adjust it to fit, rather than a standard size bottom not fitting and having to ship it all the way back to China.  I was  super happy with the purchase!  It fits so nice and the neoprene isn't as suffocating in this hot humid Florida weather as I thought it would be!  The color is so vibrant and perfect for summer!  The only cons I really have is that the neoprene, because it is very light in color, stains really easily, from dirt and anything in the environment.  Next time I will be getting a darker colored suit!  Also a tip if you decide to get one, is to buy a size up; I normally wear a small but I went with a medium and its still a little small on the top but still wearable! A cool thing about Triangl is that every swim suit comes with a neoprene sting back pack that matches the suit, which I think is really cool and convenient!
All in all, I am super happy that I hit submit on my order and I can anticipate it happening again in the future!

SummerEssentials

I have lived in Florida my entire life, in a beachy town along the gulf coast.  Over the course of my life, all 21 years of it, I have learned a lot about the beach and what you will need while you're there.
With that said here are my essential items and the reasons they are important...
Goggles and snorkels: there is so much life in the ocean it is important to me to explore it and plus it's a lot of fun and a nice way to cool off.
GoPro: it's water proof and it takes it takes the coolest pictures.
Life proof: it helps keep the sand out of my phone and if your can't afford or don't want a go pro it takes good pictures in the water.
Fish eye lens: I use this with the Lifeproof case for half underwater pictures.
Sunscreen: this is the most important! I have very fair skin and a history of skin cancer so I always wear 80 spf or higher, I recommend this even if you don't have fair skin because sun damage is irreversible.
Book: reading on the beach is super relaxing and therapeutic.
Vita Coco: in my opinion this is better than water when your outside all day, it's very high in potassium and it helps keep you hydrated.
Cliff bar: a fulfilling and delicious snack that doesn't take up much room in your beach bag.
Shoes: always sandals, never be the weirdo in tennis shoes or anything but sandals!
Surfboard: because surfboart and it's fun to lay on/in the water. Plus, we don't get good waves here in the gulf.
Last but not least towel: don't be that person in a raggedy beach towel, look stylish and simple. I always use this black and white number it's big, spacious, and soft!

P.S. no sea creatures were hurt or killed while obtaining these pictures!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter folks!  I decided to whip out my GoPro for a good group family shot! besides the fact that no one understood how it worked, the picture turned out good and it was fun!  Every easter I deal with this weird dilemma where I search my closet for pastels or bright colors and I always come up empty handed.  Fashion wise I like to steer clear from those colors because I don't feel comfortable wearing them.  anyways I found an old sheer purple shirt from Express that I got about 8 years ago and it shows with its 3-4 miscellaneous holes; so I threw it over a body con dress and called it a day! I also brought a dozen of Gigi's cupcakes that were decorated all cute for Easter( as seen pictured)! I hope you and your families had a Happy Easter!

South beach pro

My friend Ashten and I went to South Beach and played around with the GoPro and the GoPole!  This camera is so much fun, regardless of the cool pictures.  One interesting is that since you can not see what your taking a picture of  while you are taking the picture, you take roughly a million pictures and laugh a lot!

Mine: Roxy and Peter Pilotto for Target
Ashten's: PacSun
