NYFW Fall 14

Tory Burch
DKNY
Badgley Mischka
Vera Wang

Alice and Olivia
Nicole Miller
Jenny Packham

New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 was absolutely perfect this year! I am very excited for fall this year now! I know that I will never actually don one of these gorgeous pieces but these are a handful of my favorites that I would actually wear in every day life!  The plunges in the Tory Burch and DKNY are to die for and are seriously sexy.  The Mischka I would seriously consider getting married in. The Alice and Olivia coat is stunning and sleek while being stylish and warm.  Frankly I love peacocks to Nicole Millers skirt is fabulous and the rocker edge jacket is a wonderful contrast! Jenny Packham I haven't been too familiar with but I fell in love with her designs and this is my favorite from this collection, very chic and feminine!

A few more days left of Fashion Week, get on Instagram or Style.com and follow the action!

NYFWSS14

New York Fashion Week SS14 last week was amazing keeping up with, on social networking of course.  My two favorite shows were Ralph Lauren and Oscar De La Renta (even though they were not part of Fashion Week, their presentation took place the same week).  Both presentations for SS14 were very different however they both stood out to me as the two bomb shells of the week.  Each designer had the same idea with the color schemes and went for the bright and neon theme.  However both had such different takes on the similar color scheme and to me that contrast is the beauty in fashion. I loved Ralph Lauren's soft fabrics, sleek looks, bold cuts and perfect fits. Oscar De La Renta line was pure magic although I am biased, he has always been a personal favorite. ODLR used such a variety of textures and patterns giving each design a certain edge while being so magically feminine.  The line of the skirts for each designer gave each outfit a wonderful flare with either keeping it simple and straight or adding a little ruffle or adding a high-low to a lace or snake skin resembling gown.   Everything was stand out look at me but then there are all of these minute characteristics that make every look just magical!

I know it can be depressing to look at these shows because the realistic option of wearing any of it is slim, however most other company's pul their inspiration from these high scale designers, so it does effect your wardrobe inevitably.  Not to mention these people are creating art with every piece and are paving American Fashion History, it is definitely something to take notice of.
Fashion week draws thousands and everyone is booming with glamour, fashion, trends, and unique outfits it is so much fun to just see the street style that revolves around Fashion Week.
